Top Seven Fitness Myths

With so much health and fitness information coming from so many different sources, it’s no wonder you may feel confused. What does it take to get fit? Will crunches get rid of my spare tire? What’s the best way to lose body fat? What should I eat after a workout?

For every question you’ve ever had, there are only two possible answers. One is the truth – the other, a myth.

At Go Workout, we’re committed to, “the simple truth about diet and fitness.” To that end, here are the top seven myths you need to be aware of so that you can live in truth, get fit and stay fit for life:

  1. Women who lift weights will get bulky muscles.
  2. Spot reducing is possible.
  3. No pain, no gain.
  4. The more often you exercise the better.
  5. If you exercise, you can eat whatever you want.
  6. There’s a magic bullet (quick fix) out there somewhere.
  7. The more sets I do, the faster my muscles will grow.

It’s often been said, “information is power.” I think it may be more accurate to say, “correct information is power.”
